Cancellation Policy
This Cancellation Policy covers the cancellation of overnight stays, 1:1 Sessions (including ice bath, breathwork, forest bathing and massage), Experience Sessions (including Sauna, Forest Flow, Sunset Forest Flow). Events & Retreats.
Island Alive handles returns and processes refunds in accordance with the Australian Consumer Protection legislation. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions document on this website for more information.
Refunds are made at the discretion of Island Alive.
ACCOMMODATION BOOKING CANCELLATIONS (Silent Slumber, Group Bookings)

Cancellations made within Airbnb and Booking.com must comply with site cancellation and refund policy

Same-day cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable.

A possible time/date change may occur at Island Alive's discretion if made within 48 hours.

Cancellations within 7 days or more are fully refundable. Cancellations 48 hours prior are 50% refundable.

Cancellations based on ferry disruptions are fully refundable.

Please notify all cancellations in writing.

All overnight stays must be used within the allocated timeframe, unless agreed upon prior.

If the stay is cancelled by Island Alive, guests will have the option to reschedule, or full refunds will be allocated.

EXPERIENCE BOOKING CANCELLATIONS (Sauna, Forest Flow, Sunset Forest Flow)

Same-day cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable.

Cancellations within 7 days or more are fully refundable. Cancellations 48 hours prior are 50% refundable.

If the session must be cancelled by the Instructor (illness etc.), participants will have the option to reschedule, or refunds will be allocated.

WORKSHOP & EVENT CANCELLATIONS (Breath, Fire & Ice, WHM Workshops, Drumming etc)

All workshops and events proceed regardless of weather, unless notified otherwise by the instructor.

If ferry disruption occurs, all workshops and event tickets are fully refundable.

All workshop & event registrations are non-refundable.

Registrants who do not show up or who cancel forfeit their full fee.

Registrants who fail to observe the health information instructions provided forfeit their full fee.

In special circumstances a transfer can be applied if notification is received in writing at least 48 hours (48) days prior to the workshop. Transfers, are only valid for six (6) months.

All cancellations must be notified in writing.

Refunds and transfers for emergencies will be made on a case by case basis at the discretion of the instructor.
Cancellation by Instructor

The Instructor reserves the right to cancel the activity up to five (5) days prior to start of the activity if the minimum number of participants has not been met. The minimum number of participants is to be communicated beforehand.

Cancellation by the Instructor due to a low number of participants, entitles participants to a full refund or the option to reschedule.

If the workshop must be cancelled by the Instructor for other reasons (illness etc.), participants will have the option to receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

RETREAT CANCELLATIONS
Kangaroo Island Retreat

All retreat bookings are non-refundable.

Registrants who do not attend or who cancel forfeit their full fee.

Registrants who fail to observe the health information provided may not be able to participate in all activities. No refunds will be offered on this basis.

In the event of bad weather (highly unlikely) resulting in Sealink ferry cancellations on the Friday, a 25% per day refund will occur (up to a maximum of 2 days), to enable participants to still attend the event.

If Sealink cancels departure on the Monday afternoon, one (1) night's free accommodation will be offered at the retreat location before departure on the Tuesday morning.

EVENT CANCELLATIONS - Eventbrite, Humanitix Etc

Refunds processed through external websites may take 2-5 business days to return to the buyer's card.

Refunds can only be processed to the card used to make the purchase.

As the event host, Island Alive can process refunds and cancellations anytime and if funds are available.

Island Alive is not restricted by the refund policy you have set for the event, and refunds are at our discretion, notwithstanding local government regulations around event cancellations and major changes.

Tickets bought through outside groups and event holders must comply with their cancellation and refund policy.
